The last several decades have been a rather gruesome and tumultuous time in the Vietnamese culture. Visitors from the West often expect to visit Vietnam and find bitter and hostile people, and that’s simply not the case. One of the most beautiful things about Vietnam is the ability of the locals to not only put the past behind them, but to bounce back from such horrendous brutality and build a bigger and bright country. Visiting Vietnam now shows the resilience of the country because they are in the biggest economic and social boom that the

country may have ever seen. The bustling cities, especially Ho Chi Minh City, are increasingly taking cues from Bangkok and Singapore, and show no sign of slowing. Remote areas of Vietnam that were hardly accessible to tourists are now open for visitors to explore the hidden gems in these parts such as the Cham Temples or the tribes in and around Ba Be National Park. Visitors are sure to find the profound optimism of the Vietnamese people infectious.

"Having booked with The Escape Artist multiple times (Peru, Costa Rica, Kenya, Galapagos Islands) I knew that I wanted them to work with my girlfriends Mom on a family trip to Greece. John and Katie met us all out to go over the goals of the trip, like always. They built us a package based on our likes and dislikes, and they nailed it! Best part, mid trip wanted to alter our vacation a bit and spend more time in Mykonos. A simple email directly to them and everything was solved! They are fun to work with, but also amazing at what they do! Highly recommend giving them a shot!"
